[In this chapter, we study the performance of the developed frequency-domain single-channel noise reduction algorithms with simulations. Among a great number of the discussed algorithms, only the most typical and the most promising filters are investigated. The rest will be left to the reader for further exploration. Since we already learned from analytical analyzes presented in Chapter 6 that the gain in SNR from exploiting the circularity characteristics of speech and the additive noise would be marginal (upper-bounded by 3 dB if noise is stationary), the focus here will be placed on the evaluation of the new noise reduction filters with Model 3 in comparison to those conventional approaches with Model 1.]
