Quality Criteria for a Good Screening Colonoscopy



Screening for bowel cancer has been shown to reduce mortality from colorectal cancer by up to 15%. Colonoscopy is the key investigation, not only for diagnosis but also for removal of precancerous polyps. Hence, the quality of screening colonoscopy is of paramount importance for a successful screening program.
