We would also like to draw your attention to the results of a survey carried out by Paul Banikiotes published in the Announcements sec- tion which covers the types of training programs in the area of counseling psychology and job place- ment data on recent graduates in the field. This survey may be of interest to those professionals involved in the training of counseling psycholo- gists. Also included in the Announcements is a brief statement on manuscript guidelines for con- tributors to The Counseling Psychologist. Future Forum issues will include an overview of the research since 1970 on the relationship of empathy to therapeutic outcome as well as a review of priority research ideas in counseling psychology with a bibliography on research methodology in counseling psychology.
