Passive aggressive behavior is a disruptive force in the educational process. Arising out of distortions in the parent-child relationship, it manifests itself as a continual struggle against authority figures. Comment is made on both the passive aggressive child and the passive aggressive teacher, and guidelines for prevention are noted and discussed.
