ATR/101.2 374 Anglican Theological Review to acknowledge broader issues other than those raised by ARCIC. What of Apostolicae Curae, which declared Anglican orders null and void? What about the role of the ordination of women as a church-dividing issue? Nei- ther are mentioned at all, and while to be sure these issues are outside of the scope of the study, nonetheless were primacy to be resolved tomorrow, these and other issues would remain church-dividing matters between Anglicans and Catholics—and this needs at least to be acknowledged. A second area would be incorporation of additional perspectives, for instance, the under- standings of primacy from Catholic-Orthodox dialogue, a noting that the Gift of Authority has been critiqued by Anglicans as not representing a consensus within worldwide Anglicanism, and an account of the depth of opposition in significant portions of the Catholic Church to the suggestions proposed by these dialogues and to the reassessment of understandings of primacy the author proposes. The Roman Catholic Church, for instance, through the Congregation on the Doctrine of the Faith insisted on a number of correc- tions, changes, and clarifications to ARCIC I and ARCIC II statements, to the point where one formal Anglican response wondered
