VINCENT MARVIN RAVEL, M.D. 1914–1969

VINCENT MARVIN RAVEL, M.D. 1914–1969 of the county and state medical societies, and of the American Medical Association, the Pittsburgh Medical Forum Club, and the Radiological Society of North America, and he was a Fellow of the American College of Radiology. He was also a Past President of the Pittsburgh Roentgen Society and a past VicePresident and Board Member of the Pennsylvania Radiological Society. Dr. Beck is survived by his wife, Frances Urbanek Beck; a son, Robert D., of Washington, Penna.; a daughter, Ronna Lee, of Pittsburgh, and three sisters, Mrs. Samuel H. Spoont, Lucille Beck, and Zelda H. Beck, all of Miami Beach. All of us are saddened at his passing and miss his helpful presence on daily occasions. What better way to think of him than expressed by the poet, Bryant, in Thanatopsis: So live that when thy summons comes to join the innumerable caravan that moves to that mysterious realm, where each shall take his chamber in the silent halls of death, Thou go not, like the quarry slave at night, scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed by an unfaltering trust, Approach thy grave like one who wraps the draperies of his couch about him, and lies down http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Radiology Radiological Society of North America, Inc.
