Although he picks up the falsification thesis from the “On Truth and Lies” essay and argues that Nietzsche holds some version of falsifica- tionism to the end, he distances himself from a “period of Nietzsche’s being associated with a postmodern deconstruction of the very idea of truth,” which ended “near the turn of the twenty-first century” (110). But he judges the more recent trend to ally Nietzsche with scientific naturalism to be just as mistaken. It is salutary to be reminded that these approaches do not exhaust the field.
