Worcester and Rafael Lopez-Pintor, Chairman of the Liaison Committee WAPOR/UNESCO represented the World Association for Public Opinion Research at the ISSC General Assembly in Paris, 6-8 December 1988. The International Social Science Council is a non- governmental organization created in 1952 and based in Paris. Its task is to promote the development of social sciences and their application to major con- temporary problems throughout the world, by means of co-operation between social scientists and social science organizations at international and regional levels.
