Large systemic collateral arteries developing late after total repair of tetralogy of Fallot

Large systemic collateral arteries developing late after total repair of tetralogy of Fallot AbstractA 22-year-old man with tetralogy of Fallot successfully underwent acorrective operation. Twenty years after total correction, large systemiccollateral arteries (SCA) developed. The SCA arose from the rightsubclavian and internal mammary arteries. The SCA were not present at thetime of total repair and thoracotomy had not been performed on this side. Aclosed-tube thoracostomy for postoperative pneumothorax may be responsiblefor the development of the large SCA. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Oxford University Press

Abstract

AbstractA 22-year-old man with tetralogy of Fallot successfully underwent acorrective operation.
