Editorial International Journal of Public Opinion Research Vol.  No.  The Author . Published by Oxford University Press on behalf of The World Association for Public Opinion Research. All rights reserved. doi:./ijpor/edn We are at an important transition point in the editorial guidance and management of the International Journal of Public Opinion Research, and I want to bring you up to date on those developments. Wolfgang Donsbach has served two tours of duties as Managing Editor, spanning a period of not < years, and during this period the circulation of the journal has grown as well as the frequency of citations to articles published in the journal, as witnessed by higher impact scores as measured in a variety of indexes. The quality of manuscripts is extremely high, and the journal has been cited as the only true international journal in the field of communication studies. We owe Wolf and his editorial team an immeasurable debt of gratitude for these accomplishments. Last summer Wolf told us about his interest in moving on to a long list of outstanding commitments and obligations he has and his interest in resigning his post with the journal.
