News World Music Days The International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) World New Music Days Festival was held in the Southern hemisphere for the first time in the ISCM’s 88-year history. Hosted by the Aurora Festival in Sydney, Australia, 30 April–9 May 2010, World New Music Days presented concerts, installations, and radiophonic sound art by composers and artists from across the globe. This year, composers were invited to compete in a “150 Years of Music Technology” composition competition, held in collaboration with the Utrecht School of the Arts and Firstsounds.org.
