Internal factors contributing to optimal skin health and rejuvenation

Internal factors contributing to optimal skin health and rejuvenation Health professionals specialising in aesthetic medicine are continually learning about new skin products and treatments they can use to help their patients look the best they can. However, aesthetic practitioners must not forget the significance of internal factors pertinent to skin rejuvenation, such as diet and hormone balance, which contribute to the health of the skin and can affect the results patients can achieve. There are a few important internal factors that, with a little education and implementation, can be easily incorporated into patients' lifestyles to achieve long-term benefits—not just for their skin, but also for their health and wellbeing. In this article, the author explores the common internal factors that affect skin health, such as gut health, nutrition, hormonal balance and emotional wellbeing. The author also recommends some additional tests and supplements that practitioners can offer to patients who wish to address internal factors in their treatment plan. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of Aesthetic Nursing Mark Allen Group

Abstract

Health professionals specialising in aesthetic medicine are continually learning about new skin products and treatments they can use to help their patients look the best they can.
