European Commission: Directive 2013/34/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 June 2013 on the Annual Financial Statements, Consolidated Financial Statements and Related Reports of Certain Types of Undertakings, Amending Directive 2006/43/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Repealing Council Directives 78/660/EEC and 83/349/ EEC (Official Journal L 182, 29 June 2013 P. 0019­0076), 26 June 2013, ec.europa.eu/internal_market 4. SOCIAL POLICY (EMPLOYEE INVOLVEMENT AND TRANSFER OF UNDERTAKINGS) As of 20 June 2013, credit rating agencies (CRAs) will have to follow stricter rules, which will make them more accountable for their actions. The new rules also aim to reduce over-reliance on credit ratings while at the same time improving the quality of the rating process.
