Seven of the twelve authors dealt with the first theme, 'The Liability of Public Authorities in Damages', and five writers concentrated on the second theme, 'Cross-Fertilisation of Concepts in European Public Law'. The contributions in the first part are divided into an assessment of the case law on Member State liability of the European Court of Justice (ECJ), its context in the system of nationai remedies and its implications for English law. The second part of the book deals with the phenomenon of crossfertilization in constitutional and administrative law in general and in Italian administrative law. It also includes an article on the Constitution and the Justification of Judicial Power and an epilogue complementing the case law in the first part. The combination of the two themes is well chosen.
