Induction of Common Transplantation Antigen by Various Isolates of Papovavirus SV40 and by Virus Rescued from Transformed Cells

Induction of Common Transplantation Antigen by Various Isolates of Papovavirus SV40 and by Virus... Seven different laboratory strains of SV40 were compared for their ability to induce SV40 tumor-specific transplantation antigen (TSTA) in BALB/c mice. Five different isolates of virus rescued from transformed cells of mouse, hamster and monkey origin were also analyzed. All the various virus isolates were found to induce a common TSTA. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Intervirology Karger

Abstract

Seven different laboratory strains of SV40 were compared for their ability to induce SV40 tumor-specific transplantation antigen (TSTA) in BALB/c mice. Five different isolates of virus rescued from transformed cells of mouse, hamster and monkey origin were also analyzed. All the various virus isolates were found to induce a common TSTA.
