New CEO/Publisher and Editor-in-Chief

New CEO/Publisher and Editor-in-Chief The Board of Trustees of The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery is very happy to introduce, to our readers, our new CEO/Publisher and our new Editor-in-Chief. Last year, the Trustees made the major strategic decision to separate the CEO/Editor-in-Chief position into two positions: CEO/Publisher and Editor-in-Chief. At this time of extraordinary change in publishing, the Trustees determined that The Journal would be best served by providing clarity of focus for The Journal's dual imperatives of maintaining editorial excellence and integrity while successfully transitioning to a new era in medical publishing. The CEO/Publisher is expected to lead The Journal into an era of continuously improving operations and service together with innovation in the ways in which The Journal's content is accessed and utilized, including print and electronic offerings. The Editor-in-Chief is expected to lead The Journal into an era of sustained commitment to editorial excellence, improving the visibility and content of The Journal while continuing with innovation in the ways in which The Journal's content is accessed and utilized. The two will work together to ensure continuity for The Journal as an extraordinary international professional resource at a time of uncertainty in publishing. Kent R.
