For further steady progress of JOV

For further steady progress of JOV Preface Yoshida, T. It is my great pleasure to present the Journal of Visualization (JOV) Volume 7 Number 2 to all of our readers in the world. This issue contains six frontispieces, seven general papers and one report of FLUCOME '03. All the articles are related to researches on fluid flow. The subjects, however, range widely from Hele-Shaw flow to hypersonic flow. The seventh International Symposium on Fluid Control, Measurement and Visualization (FLUCOME '03) was held in Sorrento, Italy, from the 25th to the 28th of August 2003. The outline of the symposium is summarized in this issue by the symposium chairman, Professor Carlomagno, G.M. I believe this issue supplies useful information on recent advancements in the science and technology of visualization as one of the successive volumes of JOV. On behalf of managing editors, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the authors, reviewers and all who have contributed to the valuable publication of this issue. Recently, Ms. Kadowaki, M. has joined the Visualization Society of Japan as an officer who is in charge of administrative works for the publication of JOV. Her works are already reflected from this issue. So far many excessive works related to the edition of JOV have concentrated to some of managing editors and his/her assistants. Her joining will lighten these workloads and contribute to regular publication of JOV and thus further steady progress of JOV.
