Editorial Journal Indexing And Impact MetricsIt is with great pleasure that the editorial team of the International Journal of Developmental Science announces the latest impact metrics: The journal’s Impact Factor (IF) for 2020/2021 is - according to academic-accelerator.com - 2.261, and the journal is ranked in Q2 in subcategories “Developmental and Educational Psychology", “Life-span and life-course studies", and “Social Psychology". According to Scopus, the current cite score is 3.2, the SJR is at 0.349. Impact metrics have thus improved compared to the previous comparison periods.The Present Double IssueThis double issue of IJDS comprises four regular papers. In two of the four contributions, new scales/instruments and their reliability/validity are presented and discussed: Eyuboglu et al. (2022) present results from a study proving the reliability and validity of the parent-report Eyuboglu Sensory Reactivity Scale (ESRS) in children with ASD. Joyce and Aguado-Orea (2022) present in their two-study paper the development and evaluation of the online-tool Assessment of Language in Adults using Self-reported Skills (ALASS) which aim is to provide a rapid indication of language-related skills.Weiss et al. (2022) present the results of a meta-analysis, reviewing the effects of family-oriented prevention in German-speaking countries. Finally, Nicoladis and Goulay (2022) present results from their study on hand preference in children’s referential gestures during storytelling. They investigated mono- (French OR English) and bilingual (French AND English) children and tested for different effects (bilingualism, language ability, age, and sex).We very much hope that this issue reaches a wide readership.
