Von WOLFGANG HAASE und HORST HOPPE, Institut fiir Physikalische Chemie der Universitdt Jena, Jena, Lessingstrasse 10, Deutschland (DDR) (Eingegangen am 7. August 1967) The crystal structure of di(tetraethylammonium) tetrachlorooxotitanate(IV), [N(CaHs)a]zTiC140, which is isomorphous with di(tetraethylammonium) tetrachlorooxovanadate(IV), [N(CzHs)4]aVCI40, has been determined and refined with the use of three-dimensional X-ray data. Titanium has a distorted tetragonal- pyramidal coordination of four chlorine atoms and a fifth apical oxygen atom.
