Explores the characteristics ofWorldclass Manufacturing and examines the relevance oftradeoffs in detail through casestudy illustrations. Develops abalanced view which argues that, while certain tradeoffs have beenrendered irrelevant by market pressures and expectations, others havenot and remain the key to the choice of technology, process andorganization within the manufacturing mix.
