THE METHOD The concluding article of two parts, which observes a culturechange project The Learning Edge developed at GrandMetropolitan Foods Europe and discusses the training interventionsinvolved. Describes the Learning Wheel which allows employees toenter at any particular stage and also the courses which involveline managers. The latter have four different courses Leadership andCounselling Skills being the last two, preceded by Development Workshopand Manager as Coach, which develop complementary effects from differingskills and qualifications. Women in clerical grades were introduced tothe Springboard programme to give impetus toselfdevelopment and to enable full potential to be acquired. Thebenefits are starting to accrue in various areas, though only time willtell three to five years is the prediction.
