Discusses implementation of commonly used change strategies. Putsthe emphasis on the problems of utilizing existing experience in theimplementation of a change strategy, and on the problems of transferringexperience from one change effort to another. Provides a casedescription to illustrate these problems and the following discussionimplies that part of the limitations are due to the linear logics andblueprint planning found in change programmes. Other suggestedcontributing factors concern the dynamic aspects of change and theproblem of keeping different perspectives on change simultaneously in adevelopment programme. Presents a preliminary model for analysing changeprogrammes in a situation specific context. The model focuses onconsiderations made within and between three generic componentsaffecting the implementation of change efforts change strategy, changeorganization and change evaluation.
