MY friend the Editor tells me of all the kind things that have been said in appreciation of my brief paper in the Spring number of this gallant magazine, and invites me to tell more of my spiritual adventures in serving village library readers. As I understand that this magazine is finding its way to all sorts of people in towns and country places, I can only hope that my subject is big enough to command a general interest. Confident as I am in working with those I know in my own environment, I have but little confidence when addressing strange audiences, whose judgments I may not hear.
