The Selective Employment Tax Payments to Public Bodies Variation No. 2 Order 1969 45 2 STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS, ETC. 1969 No. 1900 TAXES The Selective Employment Tax (Payments to Public Bodies) (Variation) (No. 2) Order 1969 Made - - - 31st December 1969 Laid before Parliament 9th January 1970 Coming into Operation 12th January 1970 The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 9(2) of the Selective Employment Payments Act 1966(a) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Selective Employment Tax (Payments to Public Bodies) (Variation) (No. 2) Order 1969, and shall come into operation on 12th January 1970. 2. The Interpretation Act 1889(b) shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament. 3.—(1) Part I of Schedule 1 to the Selective Employment Payments Act 1966, as amended (c) (which sets out the bodies to which section 3 of that Act applies), shall be further amended by inserting in the said Part I, after paragraph 19, the following paragraph:— "19A. BEA Airtours Ltd." (2) Part II of the said Schedule 1, as amended (d) (which sets out the excepted parts of the undertakings of bodies to which the said section 3 applies), shall be further amended by adding at the end of the said Part II the following words:— "NCB Computer Power.
