THE OPQ AND THE BIG FIVE

THE OPQ AND THE BIG FIVE This article is an executive summary of a full scientific paperthat appeared in the journal Personality & IndividualDifferences. A study was conducted to examine the factor structureof the Occupational Personality Questionnaire OPQ on a sample of 94British undergraduates. The results indicated that five factors shouldbe extracted, providing further evidence for the Big Fivestructural model of personality. This lends support for the use of theOPQ Pentagon model Extroversion, Vigorous, Methodical, EmotionalStability and Abstract, but use of the Concept model containing 30scales cannot be recommended. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Journal of Managerial Psychology Emerald Publishing
