Individual Behaviour, Motivation Research, Simulation ModelsIf trainers are to earn the respect of companies with whom they work andfor whom they take responsibility for training outcomes, they need toknow that what they do is right. Trainers are often aware that they needto modify their behaviour from course to course or adopt differentmethods of training. However, they tend to rely on experience to makethese changes. The Motivational Training Style Model, which now providesa practical training tool to help them, is reviewed. By linkingBehaviour and Language to the Styles of the Model, trainers have amechanism which enables them to choose the appropriate behaviour andmethods for a given situation. This encourages learners to achieve thebest learning they need in order to get positive results back at work.
