RAISING FINANCE FOR NEW DEVELOPMENT Summary With the advent of very large development schemes, traditional forms of funding have proved insufficient in meeting the massive cost of such developments. This paper looks at the various forms of funding currently available to the developer and discusses the merits and shortcomings of traditional financing techniques, comparing them with more innovative techniques which are currently emerging.
