The history of audiovisual training packages over the last 21years is examined. Little has changed with respect to subject matter orinteractivity but there is now less government sponsorship and lessindustrial production of specialist educational films. Todays scene isoverwhelmingly commercial and there is much competition to exploit thegrowing training market.
