PISTON RING AND CYLINDER WEAR

PISTON RING AND CYLINDER WEAR The following is a paper presented to the SAE National Fuels and Lubricants Meeting at Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 5th, 1954 by ARTHUR M. BRENNEKE Chief Engineer and M. E. ESTEY Chief Research Engineer of the Prefect Circle Corpn., and we consider that their work, though, as they said themselves, largely inconclusive, may inspire some new approaches to the solution of old problems notably that of cylinder bore wear. The paper should certainly invoke discussion from those whose work is reported to have proved exactly the opposite of some of the results that these authors have obtained. We are accordingly printing this paper in full. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Industrial Lubrication and Tribology Emerald Publishing

Abstract

The following is a paper presented to the SAE National Fuels and Lubricants Meeting at Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 5th, 1954 by ARTHUR M.
