Describes Penn State University Librarys use of the OCLC CAT MEand CAT ME Plus for batch searching at offpeak hours to resolveovercrowding of OCLC dedicated terminals. Summarises the CAT ME and CATME Plus functions used, time savings calculations, and searchingtechniques. Concludes that CAT ME and CAT ME Plus have enabled maximumefficiency from dedicated OCLC terminals, more efficient use of stafftime and have become an invaluable tool for bibliographic searching.
