The labour intake of the moment presents many problems, both in its initial selection and in its allocation to the various departments of the factory, which are not encountered in normal times. It is hoped to show, from experience gained in the light engineering trade, the nature of some of these problems, how they arise, and how best they may be solved or minimized.
