While foreign trade and joint ventures between Germany and thePeoples Republic of China and Brazil have grown considerably, many ofthe attempts at economic cooperation have collapsed. One majorexplanation can be attributed to cultural differences between Germanexpatriate managers and their local subordinates. Therefore predeparturetraining and development becomes more significant.
