Letter from the Editor As innovation professionals, we are always running toward change. It is the nature of an innovator to always seek a better way … In this spirit, we are announcing that the International Journal of Innovation Science has become the official publication of the newly formed International Association of Innovation Professionals (IAOIP, http://www.iaoip.org, “The Association”). The IAOIP has been formed at the request of so many of our readers, corporations and academics seeking to organize and formalize the field of innovation. The Association will work to accomplish several things. First and foremost, the Association has as a mission, to help in solving the complicated problems of the world, by preparing as many people as we can to practice innovation in all aspects of their lives. We will be convening working groups, that will define innovation competencies and develop certification exams for innovation.in the few short weeks that the association has been in existence (launched officially, April 9, 2013), we have added members from academia, private industry and consulting. We already have members from 7 countries and by the time of this printing, perhaps many more.
