La mise en tourisme des communauts transnationales Le cas des Britanniques en Espagne et Qubcois en Floride

La mise en tourisme des communauts transnationales Le cas des Britanniques en Espagne et Qubcois... In this article, we demonstrate how a tourist destination can transform itself into a tourismbased transnational community. Inspired from two case studies, the Britons in Spain and the Quebecers in Florida, we propose a threephase model to explore the process the touristification of a transnational community. These phases are the adoption of a tourist destination, the transformation of this destination into a tourismbased transnational community, and the decline of the latter. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Tourism Review Emerald Publishing

Abstract

In this article, we demonstrate how a tourist destination can transform itself into a tourismbased transnational community. Inspired from two case studies, the Britons in Spain and the Quebecers in Florida, we propose a threephase model to explore the process the touristification of a transnational community. These phases are the adoption of a tourist destination, the transformation of this destination into a tourismbased transnational community, and the decline of the latter.
