JOB INSECURITY IN STOCKBROKERS EFFECTS ON SATISFACTION AND HEALTH This investigation examined the consequences of several threats tojob security in an organisation under siege. Data were collected from 73stockbrokers in a financial institution about four months after BlackMonday. Five threats to job security were considered stock marketvolatility, merger threat, retrenchment and cutbacks, job loss threat,and job future ambiguity.
