Describes the newly established California State University, Fresnoand University of California, Davis, joint doctoral programme ineducational leadership which prepares students to conduct and interpretenquiries for which sound educational policy and practice are anchored.The unique features of this programme are 1 an intercampusgraduate group of faculty that offers group membership toqualified faculty from several campuses of the University of Californiaand California State University, Fresno. Graduate groups follow theUniversity of California tradition of faculty governance in matters ofgroup membership, student admission and curriculum 2 no other jointdoctorates in the state of California are multicampus 3 the plannersof this doctoral programme recognized that admitted students wouldprobably be fulltime employed, experienced leaders. This programmerequires the employers of applicants to commit to release time as acondition of admission and 4 all core courses are cowritten andcotaught by UC and CSU, Fresno faculty.
