International Journal of Innovation Science – A Special Issue on Healthcare We continue to progress our journey to explore innovations in various areas of our lives! This special issue is dedicated to innovations in healthcare that has become a major performance issue for businesses. I remember in 80’s cost of healthcare used to be cited at about 8% of the total product cost. This has changed to over 15% today eating out the profit margin. Innovations in Healthcare can range from exploring new methods of gaining insights into symptoms of a disease, exploring a new cure for a disease, or all together developing a new business model for ensuring healthcare viability. I would like to acknowledge Brett Trusko, a leading healthcare expert and our Guest Editor for this special issue to take on the challenge of healthcare and prepared a collage of great contributions of the healthcare innovations. On the darker side of our daily life, it is unfortunate to share with you that our executive contributor to the previous issue Prof. C. K. Prahalad is no more. He was considered the ultimate authority on management strategy and innovations. I feel fortunate to have his contributions in the last
