Moments of Truth
The advent of large international hospitality organisations and thepressures for leaner organisational structures brings into questiontraditional forms of developing management potential. Using currenttrends in Europe as a background, the internal and external influenceson organisation structure are examined. Key issues that organisationswill have to address in order to ensure success are pinpointed. Thearticle suggests that companies will have to provide a wider spread ofmanagement development opportunities with greater discretion left toindividual managers.
