Storytelling, which is widely recognised as having a powerfulinfluence upon learning in organisations, should be formalised topromote a more systematic, predictable individual learning and changeprocess. The training function represents a natural arena whereformalisation can take place. Four ways are described in whichstorytelling as part of formal training can contribute to more effectiveindividual learning in organisations, which in turn may contribute tosuccessful organisational change and performance.
