Examines the environmental legislation facing companies in theUnited Kingdom. Discusses the legislative background, environmentalaudit definition, audit types, the American experience, the reasons forauditing, the auditing team, collecting information, conducting theaudit, and the audit report. Concludes that the environmentallegislation means a period of uncertainty for the commercial propertysector, the evidence from American industry showing that any party candemand an environmental audit.
