Examines the CEDRstechniques of minitrials and mediation, the reasons why negotiationsfail, the features of ADR, the types of disputes that can be solved byADR, salient features of CEDR, suitable mediators, ADR abroad, and modelclauses. Concludes that while ADR cannot solve all disputes, theincrease in use of ADR techniques cannot be restrained or ignored.
