Thecase will illustrate the development of a manufacturing strategy when anidea of investing in a new production concept is the startingpoint, andapplication of new technology is important. Attention to market criteriaand the need for changes in the infrastructure can be developed duringthe investment process. This development, however, presupposes that theactors can perceive the implications and demands on other parts of thefirm as well as on the market.
