CISV Children's International Summer Villages is a unique charitable organisation which was established by one person nearly fifty years ago to provide cultural exchange opportunities for young people all over the world. Comprising more than 40,000 members and volunteers from over 60 countries, speaking many different languages, communication, information and records management is challenging. This article discusses three areas, email, electronic forms and some of the organisation's publications, in which technology is being used to improve effective and efficient communications and information management in the context of a multilingual and truly global organisation.
