Abstract
Shanghai No. 2 Textile Machinery Co. Ltd (STMC) is one of the key companies that were selected for implementing 863/CIMS. The framework of STMC-CIMS was established at the end of 1994, and the first phase of STMC-CIMS was qualified by the experts' team of 863/CIMS in January 1995. This article describes the present disposal of each function system in the STMC-CIMS, the software and hardware, the implementation of STMC-CIMS, three aspects of preliminary application of integrated manufacturing, and the achievements of STMC-CIMS.
