Carpets and Lattices

Carpets and Lattices A NOVEL method of plotting a function of two independent variables has recently come into use in aeronautics and a description of it may be of interest to workers in this and other fields of experiment. The idea was originated by Mr. R. F. Sargent of the National Physical Laboratory and has since been extensively used in this country and in America. The idea can be extended to include plotting a function of three independent variables in the form of a lattice. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology Emerald Publishing

Abstract

A NOVEL method of plotting a function of two independent variables has recently come into use in aeronautics and a description of it may be of interest to workers in this and other fields of experiment. The idea was originated by Mr. R. F. Sargent of the National Physical Laboratory and has since been extensively used in this country and in America. The idea can be extended to include plotting a function of three independent variables in the form of a lattice.
