A GENERAL DESCRIPTION THE machine is a highwing monoplane with two B.M.W. 801 enginse and twin fins and rudders. A crew of four is carried, comprising pilot, bomb aimer, top rear gunnerradio operator and bottom rear gunner. As in the Do 17Z the crew's compartment is entirely forward of the wing leading edge.
