Open access demystified: flavors, colors, and practices in today's scholarly publishing marketplace
Purpose – This article aims to describe three recent books that forecast the future of libraries. Design/methodology/approach – The article focuses on the transformative changes taking place in collections and technical services. Findings – The article finds that open access has secured a strong foothold in the information world. Originality/value – The article provides a vision of the future that is largely positive for libraries.
