An Empirical Analysis of YTS, Employment and Earnings An analysis is made of the effect of YTS participation on thesubsequent employment and earnings of participants. It uses data fromthe first cohort of the England and Wales Youth Cohort Studies. Thesefocus on a cohort of young persons who reached the minimumschoolleaving age in 1984 and were eligible for entry into the originaloneyear version of YTS.
