THE Group Design component of the BSc Course in Aeronautical Engineering at Kingston Polytechnic occurs in the final four academic terms. Teams of young men and women work on design feasibility studies under a regime similar to future project groups in industry. Academic staff strive to create conditions which will nurture the talents of creativity, responsibility, resourcefulness and technical prowess. The end product is one with which aeronautical students naturally have a close empathy and is a valuable motivator. This is very important at undergraduate level.
