Activating learning through the lifetime navigator: a tool for reflection This paper emphasizes the importance of learning in the workplace through reflecting after action, as in Kolb's experiential learning cycle. One of the most effective ways of producing insights from personal experience is by keeping a learning log as a means of reflecting upon, and articulating past actions. However, many busy practitioners fail to capitalize on experiential learning opportunities, perhaps because of the time and discipline involved. Abstract
